The wrist is a complex set of joints made up of the two forearm bones and a further eight smaller carpal bones. Problems can arise from the bones themselves, joints, ligaments, tendons or nerves around the wrist.
Whilst some wrist conditions are common and easily diagnosed, a lot of the time wrist pain can go unexplained for a long time leading to ongoing pain and disability, not to mention frustration.
Early and comprehensive assessment with accurate diagnosis is the key to successful treatment. After undergoing advanced training in wrist arthroscopy, Dr Alexander specialises in minimally invasive (keyhole) techniques for treatment of a number of wrist conditions.
