Treating Elbow Injuries

The elbow is an important joint, acting in harmony with the shoulder to enable us to position our hand in space. Pain around the elbow or loss of elbow motion can quickly have a significant functional impact on our lives.

Some common elbow conditions such as tennis elbow can often be managed non-operatively, although much of the available information regarding treatment options can be confusing or misleading. A number of elbow conditions can also be treated with arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, minimising surgical trauma and expediting recovery.

Once again, accurate diagnosis and a thorough understanding of your condition is the first and most important step on the road to recovery – helping get you back on track.
